The Congress: HR980
Is this a good thing? well, it the organizations are allowed, hate that term, to negotiate then the members will benefit, as long as it is a true negotiation and that the shams that are being passed off as such these days.
If this extends to all public service employees then yes it could be a very good thing, but I doubt that it will pass as it is today…too many conservs that truly hate unions and the reps.
But will the public service employees demand their rights and their privileges? Should these "workers" be allowed to negotiate labor contracts? I say yes, after all they are employees and as such are workers, but there is a fine line between what is a worker and what is an agent of the bourgeoisie. When are they workers and when are they agents? It is a tricky position and I have no solid answer.
So what is the answer? Do we support or not?
